A firm favourite! This is a generations old recipe that still tastes as good today as it did all those years ago. Our own recipe lardy cake, packed with plump fruit and baked in golden syrup to make them that little bit extra sticky and so yummy!

I used to get lardy cake from your bakery when I was a kid then we moved to Essex 38 years ago and have never been able to get it since. Quite disappointing! I’m old enough to remember real lardy cakes! Even heated up a piece of your lardy cake was not as sticky as of old. Unfortunately I had to buy 3 from you but won’t bother again.

Arrived on the date requested and well packaged. Been craving lardy cake since I moved up North 20 years ago where you can’t seem to get them and no-one seems to know what they are! Hesitated about ordering because minimum order amount is £15 which meant I had to order 4 of them! The craving got the better of me so went ahead – so glad I did. Gave 2 away to neighbours who really enjoyed them – so much so they wish they had heard of them before and now also wish you could get them up here. Didn’t take me long to demolish the other two. So very tasty, especially when warmed in the oven for a few minutes. Thank you Warings bakery – a real treat.

I read somewhere to put them in the freezer for a while, which I did, these are the best Lardy Cakes I’ve found in a very very long time. We use to be able to get Lardy Cake from a bakers in Barnstaple but for some reason they stopped selling them.
