Rustic White and Rye Sourdough
The new Warings sourdough is a naturally fermented loaf that has a moist, chewy crumb. Made using our own starter, this irresistible new loaf is a blend of untreated white flour and organic rye and barley malt.
Every loaf is made over a 72 hour period allowing for a slow cold ferment which is then hand moulded and proved, cut by hand and baked fresh every night by our small team of bakers.
We then cover it with the perfect mix of golden & brown linseed, pumpkin seeds, hulled millet and sunflower seeds to create an incredible crust that makes this sourdough so special.
Using rye (which has little to no gluten), with our white starter means that the strength of the white flour gives the loaf excellent structure, while the rye contributes a complex flavour and wonderful softness.
Its crisp, seeded crust and artisan sourdough shape, make it the perfect rustic loaf, great for sandwiches or eating on its own.
